Black people are statistically more likely to commit crimes, doesn't mean they ALL do. Most religious people are irrational, doesn't mean they all are. Generalization is GOOD, it's the only way to learn. Exceptions do happen and extreme generalization is wrong. All atheists are irrational because it's not possible to prove a negative, at least they are irrational when it comes to religion. When I say rational I refer to the ability of applying boolean logic. When I say irrational I refer to the tendency of filtering or editting facts in search of confirmation of what you believe. People are rarely ratiomal so there is little need to divide them into groups (catolics, atheists, etc.)
It wasn't an assertion...I'm sure you understood that, I just want to make sure. Although it's well noted, that crime within black society seems to be a lot higher in most country when compared to others....I have no clue why it's a world-wide phenomenon in most cases.
I've met rational religious people...whom pratically and spirtually adopt their way of life. The belief in god might not be rational,.... thus the word faith. But if someone was completely irrational they probably wouldn't be alive. Doesn't saying 'all religious people are against freedom of speech,' seem to be an extreme generalization? Atheists tend to take logic beyond the scientific fashion in which most people use. I person using the process of science will say he doesn't know or grade the likehood within the standards available. Scientists don't know everything about the universe, so they can't fully toss a concept of god or a superior being to the side. Although they can clearly say the burden of proof lies on those asserting something. And thus your quote above... Just call it mysticism or mind-creation.
What climbed inside you and died? geesh..... religious people are afraid of freedom of speech?? yes, I have noticed cults are, but from what I have seen Christians aren't (I am assuming you are pointing fingers at Christians since you seem to have something against them) Also, the aclu seems to be scared of Christians speaking, so that is a bit backwards. Christian asking for evidence? you seem to have an issue with evidence, but I am again assuming things here, but I take it you are refering to faith. It is by faith that you believe in most of what you believe in science because you haven't seen it with your own eyes. I do live by faith and I search for evidence in everything including my beliefs.
Mention dinosaurs in a religious thread and watch the subject change immediately And yes cave drawings and the skulls I've seen on the discovery channel are proof enough that neandrathal man existed... Your turn.
