Should I post each article to my blog and ezinearticles? If so, is it Ok to post the article to my blog while I am waiting for it to get approved by ezine?

    Thanks

only one place otherwise google will see it as a duplicate. Post the best articles on your blog but post teaser articles at ezinearticles to get visitors to visit your blog

There's two schools of thought with this. Some people say no, other people say, yeah, Post it everywhere you can.

If posting to multiple places is always bad, why post to more then one article directory?

I think you have to ask yourself do you want direct traffic or you are submitting articles for SEO purposes.

Michael is right, having a little teaser is key for getting click-thrus.

I was at the webmaster conference in Las Vegas last month and the guys from google said that they wouldn't penalize duplicate content. They said it would be dis guarded which makes since to me. Otherwise blackhats could dupe content to get it delisted. Google goes with the most relevant content.

Write longer articles and split them into two. Readers have to visit your blog to finish the article. Make sure an opt-in form or advertising is clearly visible so they will take action.

If you do this re-write the article that ends up on your blog.

I've been thinking on that and realised it must be the case. As you say rivals of companies or sites would otherwise just submit their content everywhere trying to penalise them.

Presumably it is just down to whoever plublishes the content (and gets it indexed by google) first

yes you can do it, but it consider duplicate by Google, and it might effective to attract visitors if you publish popular article and properly advertise it but do not forget to put source link in your blog.

Duplicate content is penalized by Google, if it picks up the content from a popular site first and then finds it on your site, your page goes into the supplemental listings.

Try to rework your articles so that they are at least 50% different.

The term "penalized" is misleadingly used. As this poster at
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=10080215&postcount=4 said they say it will not be panalised... but just mroe like demoted but will still appear in Google index.
Otherwise as few posted have said you can "kill" off competition and any one whose face or avatar you don't like by posting all kinds of duplicate content :p

Post it in your own blog. Why to post your unique content in others directories?

Ugh. I feel like the question really remains unanswered as far as best practices go.

I understand that ideally you want to post a different article but if you write your own content sometimes you put your best into the original. So how do you go back and decide how you are going to rewrite it?

It's a bit frustrating because you just want people to see it. Stupid Google mafia.

Post them on your blog. Give people a reason to visit your blog. Why would anybody visit your blog if all your blog's articles are on E-zine articles?

Better to post only teaser articles on ezinearticles as Michael_Nguyen said.

If your page results drop into the supplementals, it's a penalty, no matter how you dress it up.

You have recourse for someone else posting your articles. You can always try to get them to remove the articles. And then use the DMA to contact Google and get them delisted. That's why your competition doesn't bother.
