Who is you favorite painter? I like monet. His paintings take me back to a time and a place as if I once lived it.
I am not really into paintings and could not name most of the classical artists. However, I was in London one time at an art museum (not sure what the name was, but I believe it was in or near Trafalgar Square) and I was blown away by the Rembrandt portraits. The eyes of his subjects were so lifelike and engaging that the paintings could have been photo's. On another note, it will be interesting to see how AI image generation affects the art world.
Neither was I until I tried your Leonardo da Vinci model tinfoil hat. You ought to see the masterpieces hanging on my wall now! And don't even get me started on my ceiling and wall murals.
I can look at the same paintings over, and over again and find something different every time. It doesn't matter the painter.Monet is just my favorite. It was the turn of the 20th century and he captured that moment in a great way.The best time in my opinion.
Several years ago I shook the hand of James Normanton the owner of Somerley House in Ringwood. The paintings inside that Stately home are impressive and priceless.
