Wow! Alexa rating under 10k today for my site

Traffic rank of 9,804 today! (now if only that was true, especially the 85million reach part..)

It seems to me that sites to do with internet/technology or online marketing have a major advantage in alexa. I guess it's because they are the same demographic as the people who would actually install the alexa toolbar.

Even so, under 10k is a nice achievement! :)

I don't know how much weight I'd put in the daily rank... my daily rank has gone as high as around 21,000 even though my 3 month rank was around 100,000 at the time (it's about 72,000 today) ;)

And yea, Alexa isn't the most accurate but there's no other service that can show you how your site reaches visitors in relation to the rest of the web... not for free, at least

yes but it also only calculates the reach by an estimate of the alexa toolbar users. This is why most people in these types of forums don't put much clout in alexa results. I remember my first site I was all gung ho and would check my alexa ranking daily thinking it was some high and mighty place to be.

Then again if your in that position it still means that you have gotten alot of traffic and wether it be acurate or not that is still a good feeling and congrats on the accomplishment

Yup - there are programs you can buy to manipulate your ranking. I am not sure if they could get you in the top 10k though.

Yes but its useless. You dont earn money with a higher alexa rank if your site still gets the same traffic lol
