Hi, is there any way to overcome the limit, or get more queries than allowed per day?

May be they have some special things.. :confused:

How many queries are allowed now?
I downloaded their example codes today. It has appid= "YahooDemo". Is that what you are using or is there something else also?

for yahoo I am pretty sure its the ip where its calling from. that is why you can use the yahoodemo ID

Yahoo IMO has a much better API

Also you can get your api limit upped pretty easy just send a email to the dev email on the site. You just have to let them know what your doing.

is it 100K queries a day? or you can fetch 100K images? :confused:

My search engine ( www.findinforums.com ) fetches results from yahoo, it's now ok, since the traffic has dropped (less than 5K pageviews a day), but when it was 10K-15K pageviews/searches per day there were quite a lot of errors and bugs due to the yahoo query limit, so i believe it's around 10K a day or so

5K queries a day is a limit. You might ask them for more.

just email them with the ip you are using it from and what you are doing with it.


Its somewhat hard to fake since they will grant your IP + username more calls

I know many people that have 100k calls though its not hard just ask
