Why am i getting more google traffic than yahoo?

Hi guys,

This site Letras, Tablaturas y Acordes (http://www.tablatura.org) is around 2 months old. I started doing all the little things i have been learning here in DP around 2 weeks after i uploaded... and it took me like 2 weeks to get indexed in google. Yahoo on the other hand indexed me right away.

I started getting yahoo hits right away on some keywords.. but now, i am gettin around 100 to 5 more google organic visitors ....

i will love to know how to level yahoo, since all the traffic i get from yahoo averages 12% bounce rate and 10 page views, meanwhile my google organic traffic averages 60% bounce rate :( and 5 page views...

any ideas (and an explanation why is this happening and how to get more yahoo traffic?)

google has a much larger user base then yahoo and therfore more traffic, is sent..
actualy google is bigger then yahoo and msn combined..

as far as getting traffic from yahoo.. youll get mixed answers on that..
but 2 things that do help in yahoo is having larger pages and also focusing more on the longtail keywords.

as long as you are getting good amount of traffics from SE
why worry about which SE you visitors came from?

Just keep doing what you are doing

Thats easily because more people use Google to search than yahoo for more to news and email services :)

To explain your different Page Views and Bounce rates, maybe it has more to do with the different keywords you're getting on Yahoo and Google. As in, Yahoo is giving you targeted traffic keywords, and Google may be giving you, idk for your site, like English viewers who will see your Spanish site and bounce. Just my guess.

I do quite well with yahoo, I have better rankings there than google, although I have many more terms in google. Overall Yahoo delivers about 10% more traffic to my main sites.

Google does deliver more traffic if you can rank well for competitive keywords. My traffic from Yahoo converts much better than my Google traffic does.

Even i think that yahoo always shows more back links comparing to others but than also we don't get good traffic from it . But Kewlchat is right Google get much traffic than others .

For most sites, but not for all... And it's all relative. So of most sites have more Yahoo links, than it doesn't matter that yours do too.

Try building more backlinks by using mybloglog, yahoo my web or other yahoo properties like Yahoo360 and you're bound to get some love from Yahoo.:)

Take it from someone who uses and sometimes even abuses Yahoo property links - this is a good idea but in moderation and used properly it will help all your rankings especially Yahoo. Actually this is a great way to get a new site indexed as Yahoo property links get indexed immediately. Be careful though to not put links in all your posts as you want to mix this up or they will temporarily ban you as I found out the hard way which is actually the way I find out anything :D

For my one of blog i get 300 UV per day in yahoo where as in Google i get only 10-150 UV ..

would fold...there would not be much need for the internet...
