Data on Search engines used by Google/MSN/Yahoo Employees

Interesting analysis over at DIGG (http://digg.com/technology/Which_Search_Engines_are_Used_By_Microsoft_Google_Yahoo_Apple_EMPLOYEES) of which search engines were used by the employees of GMY. Guess what the preferred search engine for Microsoft employees is! ;-)

Now, I have to admit the last figure made me somewhat suspicious of the scope of this data. I don’t doubt that Googlers are mostly using Google, but at least a couple of non-native searches should’ve slipped through, no?

There was an article a while ago in Slashdot which had info from Microsoft employees where they only used MS stuff for everything. Not even Ipods were allowed in the workplace. MS Staff may prefer google but hard to think they'd use it in the workplace (Unless they comparing search results in their labs)

Yeah the last figure seems a little odd, if I worked at Google I'd probably still use Yahoo for comparisons or even to check what's up with competitors? I feel for MS employees though, having to use MSN all the time would drive me crazy :)

I guess everyone should use whatever he feels most comfortable with. I just think that msn isn't good to find anything really. From an seo standpoint it's great, for the enduser it's no better than using a spam directory for your everyday searches.

msn is way better than yahoo IMO
