no... lol, "cheats" isn't a trademark... its possible to have this word or even a variation ****cheats.TLD ...you're not going to get caught in some trademark battle for that... ..its what you use with the "cheats" that may be the issue.. like halocheats.com or xbox360cheats.com... if you're directly associating yourself with another corporation without prior consent, anytime they choose... they can have your site thrown out and they can request it be given to them b/c of breach of their trademark. However, a lot of times corporations allow these sites online as long as you don't manipulate the users to make them assume that your site is promoted by or directly affiliated by the corporation that holds the trademark... you can also make your site more generalized like; gamingcheats.com, or hackcheats.com.. it'll save you having to re-promote a domain b/c the trademark holder grabbed it off of you b/c you were breaching their right to their trademark 0_o

As for the trademark on "cheats" the answer has been said rather well... but from experience you are fine with basic workds like that, rather it is in the CONTEXT and combination of words. Whatever you do, stick with basic words and don't even flirt with using 'brand names' ...which is why branding names are so crucial to a companies success.

I wish I had the site, but if you simply google trademark... there is an organization that will help you out determine if you are in the clear. Sorry for not having the link:o
