$50 Logo Design Contest for My New Directory

I am wanting a new logo design for a new directory I now own - www.catalogboy.com

The contest will run for 48 hrs, with the winning contestant chosen by myself.

I am looking to create a fresh new look for the directory. I will be changing the color scheme of the current skin, so you can disregard the current use of colors.

I want to appeal to the young crowd, so please keep this in mind with the design.

I reserve the right to not select a winner if I feel the quality of the submissions are not to my liking.

I should note the only requirement is to design for a 300 px width. A small slogan would also be cool.

* Small revision to the winning design should also be included (if I need any)

Not bad dude... I was probably wanting something a little more brandable and colourful though.

I like the font you have used in the first sample.

If you can scrap the image, and incorporate a more appealing image which is more brandable, that'd be awesome.

Nice font, but let me give a hint. Incorporating imagery into the logo will go a long way to winning it. I am looking for something brandable and creative.

So far Mihai's entry is the closest to what I had envisaged.

Thanks for your opinion, I already have an entry which I strongly favour.

I dont think my timing for this contest was the best, cause if I'm not mistaken, there is gonna be downtime on DP pretty soon.

Yeah, I made them pretty quickly. Do you mind telling me which one you like best so I can focus my time on that one?

Definately creative, I'll give you that, but not what I had in mind.

The "boy" theme is what I had in mind, to go with the domain.

Mihai's entry is a good example.

In all honesty, I'm not looking to make suggestions on every entry. I feel like I would be wasting everyones time as in the end there's only gonna be one winner. All I can suggest is, submit your best entry, read what things I'm looking for in this thread, and best of luck :) I'll be making a decision shortly.
