Good post, especially the link to those Yahoo resources. I'm definitely going to take advantage of Yahoo's "submit 5 url's for immediate search inclusion" feature, that's a neat way to make sure your new pages get in if you rotate.

Nice tips as any search engine traffic is good. But I feel most people are more obsessed about google ranking than yahoo as it is their first stop for searching.

Thanks for your positive comments. People almost forget about Yahoo or other search engines but truth is that, for every website these search engines matter a lot because if you rank high on these, they will sure send tons of traffic.

Thanks, link building is also important but comes after your website contents and Optimization. Link building for a weak site will not give any advantage whereas for a quality site, it will be great. So first thing to make your website strong in terms of contents, design, error free, etc.

You need to have a good content on your site and then optimize for the search engine.

Having back links will help in ranking you better in the search engines.

Also posting answers in the yahoo answers will help build backlinks as well as driving traffic to the site which ultimately will increase your rank in the search engines.

Yahoo Answer links are no-follow so they will not boost your ranking in search engine but it's very effective way to get referral traffic. I wrote two post on getting referral traffic from different sources and Yahoo Answer is one of them. You might interested to check out those-
