The IP you are using is accessing the yahoo server networks too much.

I always got that message after creating a bunch of accounts in a day that got banned for advertising. Just reset your IP and you will be good to go.

YAHOO 999 ERROR ON YAHOO ANSWERS:
Ok I don't want to break all the sweet hearts here but that error comes when you have posted a URL too many times. The URL is blocked and cannot be posted anymore.
Yahoo is a ****. They lie by giving this 999 error.
The URL will be blocked for atleast 1 day. Sometimes it takes longer for the unblocking.
Big domains like google.com, yahoo.com, flickr...etc do not get blocked.
YES GUYS, THIS IS 100% TRUE. MattsCutts wrote about it too. I will post his comments when i get sometime.
This is the 1 way yahoo gets back at all the spammers...:)
Goodluck guys!

From my experience, the URL does not get blocked, just my IP gets banned. I have always been able to post the same URL after I reset my IP address with no problems at all.

I also experienced that! T__T

And they told me my IP got banned or something. Because of too many search queries? Why? I don't understand. Also I read that Matt Cutts posted something about it? Can anyone give a link? Thank you!

I get that a huge amount when I'm answering questions there. I'd be interested to see the blog post.

It seems unnecessary, why have the point system and "unlimited" levels if you're going to block a resource box URL on a site that's supposedly no follow?

Are they dumber than we've been led to believe at Yahoo?
