From my experience, if its in the source box, it wont get deleted as long as it doesn't link to some porn site.

In the actual answer I don't know. But maybe in the answer say "Click on the source link for more info"

I point people to my website not to get PR or any search engine benefit, but just to give them more information on their question.

It's best to leave a helpful, third-person review. Then leave your link in the "Source" box. Refer to my blog for some more helpful tips. ;)

I have nearly 100 answers. In all of my answers I had added my related site's link after my answer in the "Your Answer" box. I think, if you answer in related Categories, there is no problem to add your link in "Ypour Answer" box or "Source Box". Key is; related Category...

Yes, living a link on the source box helps a lot although it's a no-follow. Visitors may have a chance to go to your site.

You can either put it in the answer itself or the resource box, but you must make sure you have the http://

I noticed there's a lot of people who leave their url without it and it doesn't turn to a live link.

Try to give useful information as well as putting the link in the resource box. As long as you give a decent answer, you shouldn't have to worry about it getting deleted. I answer about 10-15 questions a day with links in the resource box, and I've only ever had three of them deleted. Ironically, those three answers that were deleted were when I posted links to other sites and not my own.

Unless your reply is really useful, you can easily be tagged as link spamming and your organic rankings might suffer. Plus apart from minimal traffic, links on Yahoo! Answers are useless for SEO since are tagged as "nofollow".

I usually leave the link in the source or sometimes i incorporate the link in the body of the answers. I am having a good success with yahoo answers and my sales have doubled.

Its good in terms of traffic of niche category towards our site/blog but not contributing towards pageranks. I thought google advice bloggers and website to do nofollow. Never thought its competitor also follow google's advice on nofollow.

The best place to put the link is the source box, but the link can be put in the body of the message .
One should keep in mind that the link to the question answered should be relevant other it would be considered spamming and might get the account banned.

Nowadays Yahoo Answers is considered a major source of driving traffic to the sites , affiliates also.

Links can be left either inside the answer's body or into the resource box, but be aware that spamming Yahoo Answers with whatever link will lead you to a ban since anyone can report you for not abiding by the terms.

Of course you can leave your links, but they need to be relevant to the question.

Just the other day I saw how someone was banned for being promoting a Taiwanese church as resource to Internet and Computing matters, which certainly is funny because I have never seen someone getting into MySpace or fixing a computer with prayings, LOL

I usually leave my link in the "whats your source box." Make sure you only leave your link on questions where your link is relevant. If you don't it will do more harm than good.

Leave the link if only your site is related to the question asked... otherwise, your account may get banned.

You can use the source box to add links. It is better.
