Our new affiliate program's payout threshold is AUD$100 see... http://www.dining-downunder.com/idevaffiliate/

In the past few days we have had some emails suggesting this should be lower for professional affailiates...

Just want to start a thread to find the correct amount.

Looking forward to some suggestions.

Cheers

$25.00 USA. Only big companies like Google, Yahoo, and Amazon usually get away with high earning requirements.

Well, it all depends from amounts you're paying what are the policy; for example we pay quite a lot per sale, up to 50% and sales are easy into 100 - 175$ a pop, of course, there are smaller items as well; but 100$ is quite good point; if you pay cents per sale then you migh want to do like 25 - 50 $ as minimum; or you can put any amount as long as they cover say 10$ processing fee;

we have decided to change our payout threshhold down to $40... from $100.

Any comments ?

We have decided not to have a minimum payout, as one sale would garner at least $20US in commission... but we are adding more expensive products to our inventory. Is it a good idea to leave the minimum at zero, or should we increase it? I don't want added payroll costs, but I thought that if someone earned $20, they'd like to receive it...

I can't comment much on your decisionm, but it will likely attract more people who maybe aren't confident enough that they can get $100...

we too will be adding more products soon, including a high priced dining experience which should be interesting for people and will earn our affiliates a healthy commission

As an affiliate I have always found it annoying to receive cheques for under $100 - i'd just prefer the company pooled it until it was a significant amount.
