View Full Version : Yahoo & Mcafee unsolicited SPAM warning

Well my site www.3dshoots.com was flagged for unsolicted SPAM. Obviously the spammers were harvesting the email addresses from the site. Our site allows clubs to list their information and allow users of the site to contact the clubs regarding events they may be having. This is the entire purpose of the site.

So I made a bunch of corrections to the site. You can no longer see any email addresses on our site so spammers cannot get the information and we have a captcha on the "contact the club" page.

I contacted Site Advisor about the warning asking them to re-review the site and to contact me if they felt it needed more changes to remove this "Spam Warning"

So far, no change to the listing and no emails back from mcafee. What a royal pain. Anyone else experienced this problem?

not for me, I don't do posting or SEO thing anyway based from my observation maybe while you're correcting your site you have entered it lot of times therefore the webmaster or the admin thought that you're spamming..

What!? How does this have anything to do with my post? What does this have to do with mcafee and yahoo? I get the impression from your post that you have no idea what I am talking about.

One of our site was also flagged "unsolicited SPAM." First we did not know about it and we found out that there is a tight up between Yahoo and Mcafee. Mcafee Search Scan is a software that will filter or scan for three types of risks in your search index.With Search Scan, Yahoo goal is to protect users by allowing them to make a more informed decision about the websites they visit. If you experienced it you should email the Yahoo technical support.

Contacting them will only do so much, they tend not to listen to you.
