What Method Do You Use For The Google API

For those utilizing the Google API for things, I'm curious what method you use... For example, do you use .NET, nusoap compiled into PHP, or?

I haven't actually started using the API yet, although I have plans to do so. I will probably have to code my own functions in php to do everything because I only have access to servers with php, but I can't recompile it.

PHP/Nusoap for G (stock. no rtf changes etc)
Usual XML/RSS parsing for MSN.

I should mention though my use is personal (I don't make the relevant tools publicly available) so this may not be relevant to broad scale use.

I haven't played with the API much but I did create a small app using the Microsoft Office XP Web Services Toolkit and VBA in Excel. If I had a local PHP server I would most likely use php with nusoap compiled in.
