How much will people pay for links on signatures?

The highest i've seen was around 100$ for 1 sig the guy had 13k posts.How much do you think the maximum people are going to pay for a sig?and do you think that guy has problems finding customers?

Usually it goes on a scale of for every 100 posts you have = $1.

This is because after months of posting your posts become indexed and if your site is in the signature, its like a backlink to your site. So buying a signature with 13k posts is nearly 13k backlinks...

Wow, I saw the topic name and thought I wouldnt pay shit....but this is pretty interesting.

I knew your posts become indexed, but still I didnt think it was worth anything, people would need to click and read your posts to see your sig. I dont really check out peoples sigs unless they take up like half the page.

there is no fixed rate actually. people sell their sig whatever they thing the sig links worth. its all based on supply and demand. take a look around BST forum and you will have an idea

the traffic is beneficial it increases the alexa rank.

fourms can help in getting better page rank as well as trafiic .. people like me search generally at forums because they are posted by real people and their is a quick response also

I agree with the 100%, this is a reason why forums are good and tend to get indexed a lot, so having your site in your signature there can usually help with PR, and SERP.
