My conversion rate on Overture is better than AdWords. It all depends on your keyword/bid and ads, You should give it a try.

Overture is ok. It just depends on how you put the right title and description on the right keyword.

In theory Adwords starts at $0.01 (actually in the UK I think it starts at £0.03which is about $0.05) - in practice Adwords slowly bumps up the prices - I don't think I've got anything under £0.11 now!

You can get away with 3 to 5c on adwords for niche keywords.

I think Overture's interface is a lot harder to work with then adwords. I would only start out with a few keywords because if you spend all day setting up your ad campaigns using hundreds of keywords you take the chance of your ads being declined and then you have to start all over again.

same here. I pay the same or less with Yahoo what I pay for adwords and it converts great for me.
(lialexander, I have a yahoo $50 free credit for new accounts link at the bottom of http://www.gamertestingground.com/affiliates.html if you're interested)
