View Full Version : WordPress and Permalinks Help!
I really like WordPress but setting up the bloody Permalinks is starting to annoy me.
I want to use /%postname%.htm with the generated mod_rewrite rules, which works fine for categories and posts but breaks the month links (they actually become /%postname)
Can anybody shed any light on this please as I don't really want to go back to the paramatised URLs. Thanks.

I disabled the standard archives for WordPress and used Nicer Archives instead (Although I'm having trouble styling it as I use a custom WP template)...

Damn, I can't edit... That link should be...

Thanks SE, I'm really after something simpler than that, just automatic month links would suit me fine. If only there was a forum about blogs I could join ;)

All you have to do with that solution is upload the n_archives.php file and link to it, then that should work.

Thanks Kaptain Dave and SEbasic
I've gone for /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
I would have prefered a shallower depth and htm extension but at least all links work now (only took 2 months)
