What is the correct coding for having three divs within a div, floating left, but then having say a 10px padding. I am having an outline around the three divs and want them to have a padding between them.

What is the correct coding for having three divs within a div, floating left, but then having say a 10px padding. I am having an outline around the three divs and want them to have a padding between them.It sounds that you really want margins, not padding. Padding is inside and margins are on the outside of an element.
