Hi all-

I'm thinking about putting up a links page on a blog. That way I avoid a giant blogroll on every page. I'm hoping it will end up with a pretty good PR and attract reciprocal links. The blog's PR is 4.

Any comments? Is this a lame strategy? I've had people offer me some pretty good recip links, but I don't want the giant blogroll thing going on.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You could use a links page/directory, and it wouldn't be too bad if you made your categories something like "Blogs I Read", "Sites I like", or "People who read my blog often". Of course, I think most blogs allow you to create categories for your blog posts and opt to not show some categories on the home page. You could then just post these links in those categories like a blog post. This would have the benefit of allowing your readers to comment on those links. The downside is that it is not as easy to organize as a directory or links page if you plan on swapping reciprocal links a bunch.

Interesting idea. I don't think TypePad allows this, and that's the platform I'd be doing this on.

You've made me think about headings, page title, etc. I appreciate it. I have much to learn about link development. Time to read some long threads on this one!
