Logo contest - Adult - Ends July 15th - $100

This contest is for PSDB, which stands for "Pornstar Database". The site has what the name states. The site itself is CSS, web 2.0, very clean and classy looking.

About the logo:
This logo should be designed for both web and print. I want to be able to put it on designs, watermarks, shirts etc. I would like a good identifiable silhouette of the design so that it can be recognizable regardless of what colors I decide to use in the future, ex: different color shirts.

Feel free to change the case sensitivity of the logo,"PsDB, PSDb, etc..", if you want you may include ".com" in the logo, but this is not necessary.

Here is a picture of where it would go on the site, and what colors are being used on the design at the moment.

I really have no idea what I am looking for in regards to the logo, but I can be as helpful as I can.

I'm a big fan of the playboy logo where it has a bunny and playboy after. Also a big fan of alienware the text and then the little alien.

One idea I did have was to have a star with a silhouette of a girl inside, and PSDB to the right of that, similar to that off FO.

Another is to have that star with that silhouette, and have it behind PSDB, similar to that off SG.

This are of course just some ideas, and you may decide to go in a different direction, I can't think of anything so I'm hoping one of your great designers out there can see something where I can't. I would really like a nice complex design, the current ones seem good, but to simple, which is one of the turn offs that I had from those designs.

Hey topamillion, not a big fan of the 3D, also plesae keep in mind that for starters this will go on that purple background, I'm also not very fond of the font.

Aaron, I digg the color, but that's about it.

For both the logo's I find them a bit simplistic, a bit more work can spice my love for the logo, mybe some cool font messing around would spice up my love for the logo, an example:

I guess what I am really looking forward to is more design work on the font than anything, i really don't like simplistic straight out fonts, I would like some creativity on the font, I've been trying to find a few more logos with some more font creativity.

Herenow, I agree I think the contest should be over when the right design is chosen, but that would only benefit me, and designers would like to know what their deadline is looking like.

Hey Kingsmart, not a big fan of the encasing, I would like to put more emphasis on the lettering.

Creations4You, still not happy with the font, I would like to put a lot of emphasis on the text, I like the logo, but the most important part is the text.
For the logo, can you try giving me some different girl positions.
I like how SuicideGirls has the upper body of the girl, can you try to do that, from the chest area and up if possible.

topamillion, I like the idea, not a big fan of 3D for the logo, I also didn't really like the font either.

Direction: I am really liking some of the design concepts that are coming out, however I would really like to have more emphasis on the lettering, if people see those 4 letters, I want them to easily identify where it is coming from.

untitledstudios I am really digging yours. Can you post one of the last one without the model.
Then try one with a star to the left of the logo same colors, however add a model to it. And then a different one similar to the first one you entered, however change the circle to a star, same model.

UPDATE REGARDING ALL CURRENT DESIGNS

At the time of writting this "scorpionagency" was the last post i saw.

Alright, well I decided to write this up to kind of give a heads up of where I am in regards to all the designs. I really like some of the concepts and ideas some of you have come up with.

Here's a breakdown of what I've liked the most so far. You are all awesome designers, so don't take any of this to heart, I'm just simply mentioning what I like about each one, to hopefully give you guys some insights in regards to what I want.

1. I like the star and the girl, not the girl so much though.
4. I like the the white with purple, seems to blend well, might be perfect for the font color.
5. I like what they did with the girl, not a fan of the colors, the star looks very 80's, and did not like the font.

My TOP FAVORITES
Yes I know it's the same design, but for #2 i like the idea of the girl, not the roundedness for some reason, maybe a different shape would turn me on, doesn't have to be a star. #3 I like the star in the backround, don't like the girl. This design is the closest logo i've liked so far though.
2.I simply love this, I really loved the fact that he did something new with the font name, and put work into the lettering, it's not something I can just type and it will look like that, I need to open up Photoshop to recreate that.
3.I can't stop loving that font, it's BIG, its BOLD, and it brings my attention, I simply just LOVE that, just don't like the girl, I think the reason I really like this is because there is a lot of less empty space.

BOTTOM LINE
I want to put more work on the font itself, I would like to have to "photoshop" the text together to make it work. I just don't like the simplicity of just typing the text, this is a huge turn off for me, and it seems that most of the designs so far I can just type in the text.
The text alone is what I really like about #2, the logo is just the icing on the cake. Hopefully this will help you guys in the continuing designs.
I should notice the font first, then the rest of the design.
Any design should not be to much bigger than the text, and if it is, it should be on the side kind of like an icon.

I'm not to worried about the star, that should just be icing if you can make it work. Focus more on the lettering.

syndromeX I don't like the big star with the girl, also don't like the font, i like the stars along the bottom. More work on the letters, and maybe you can sorround the stars around the text?

Creations4You Not digging the chick. I guess what I am looking for is a really nice design of PSDB, the word, anything you can add to it is icing on the cake, for a better term. Not really looking for a star or a girl, if you can make those work, then props to ya.

SitPoMk I actually really like the concept you tried with the P, i'm diggin it. The rest of the wording however I didn't like, maybe something more can be done with the text? As for your second design I really like it, it's missing something though, can't put my finger on it, I really like both of your concepts. I love the fact that you are making use of the text, that's exactly what I am looking for. I am really digging your second design though, very nice.

Aaron700: Try a different font in general, I just don't like that font, try doing something creative with the font. I'm really looking for something with something that says PSDB, and that you can regonize the lettering, not really interested in the star or the girl, when I first started this contest that was just one idea, but with the contest going further in, i realized that I am really looking for the lettering.

Gorgon, I liked the previous way you had used the legs, I'm still not digging the font.

Aaron - don't like the bubbly font, and i don't like hte stripes, the star, I think I am moving away from that, and it's not a concept I really want to go for. I like text. With your second design I just don't like the font. Move away from the chick and the star, and start messing around with fonts, I am just not a big fan of the star and the girl.

Itaydr - I like the text, I don't like the star with the female, in your sedcond design, I'm just not digging the girl, the font I like, however I still feel I can type it, so it's not really what im looking for.

Nick252 - I don't like the font, and I feel the star is to big, uses up a lot of space. I want the main focus to be the lettering.

Katesrobyn - I really really like it. I however am not a big fan of the bunny years, reminds me of playboy. Maybe you if you tried a different concept for the chick. I do love the concept however, it's amongst my top favorites!

untitledstudios - I love the star, those examples are perfect, this is definately amongst my favorites.

I think people are having trouble with doing alot with the font because this has to be vector. If it were a photoshop image i could make the font look incredibly amazing. Im also seeing effects on some of these logos that would not work if your planning on using the logo for various things such as t-shirts, etc. hmm.

Excellent points, and I do see that being an issue, which is why I am also keeping a close eye on certain designs that would work well on any surface, I will start pointing this out.

Regarding Vector Images
I would love to have the vector image if you can do it, I know a few designers on here that did a great job, however if it's not your strength and you would like to do a Photoshop version that's fine. You can even draw it out and scan it in if you wish. I'm looking for a good design, if you can't vector it, I do know someone that's really good at vector, so I can have them do it.

SitpomK - I really like what you did with the first one, very nice, it has been added to my favs. As for the other one, I really like it, but I liked the cursive letters for the bottom more, can you update that. Otherwise those are really strong in the competition, i really like both of them.

katesrobyn - I prefer your very first version still, for your design I liked the elegant feel in your first design. I don't like the font being to busy, atleast not in your design, i feel the elegant type works well for yours.

Psycho-Designs - I like your concept, however I would really like for the text to say PSDB, not pornstar database. Also I don't like the font. For your second concept, I feel everything is distracting from the main focus which is
the text. It's to busy.
