$10.00 Website Banner Contest

My friend runs a photography company that deals with Prom Pictures.

In the banner for his site, he needs:
1) The name PromPics
2) A silhouette of a couple / mixed in with a camera
3) Something funky

The pay is $10.00 via paypal. Paid this Saturday after the selection is done.

Looking through this thread - there is a bunch of good stuff out there..

Can you tell us what dimensions of the header should there be and what colors would you like?

I can only advise it is "standard" banner size for a website.

Colours: Whatever works for you. Can you make it with a transparent background?

At first I thought that you wanted a header for the web site, but I see that you want a banner.
There are different standard banner sizes. But the first that come to mind is 468 x 60 and on this reference page that is the first size listed as a banner.

So I will redo my banner to 468 x 60. I don't understand why you would want a transparent banner ??? :confused:

a4hire, he is referring to transparent as in image format at .png and a blank background I believe. :)

Transparent banners are good when it will be used with different background colors or if the webmaster decides to change the background color later on - just a guess

Well, transparent logos are the best actually, you can put them on any background :D

Now they all have different color backgrounds.
I do understand about transparent background but I have never seen a transparent banner before.
But if you like any of the designs I can easily make the background color transparent and you will just have the black outline.
More information on your requirements would be helpful to anyone trying to make a banner for you.
