$55 Club/Nightlife FLYER Contest!

Hello,

Here's what I need:
Im all out of ideas so Im hoping someone else might help me out. Im paying $55 paypal for the flyer I pick. You are free to upload them WITH WATERMARKS for sercurity purposes, I have no problem with that.

Im gonna show you the last flyer I did and the one I did for this event but I dont like either one all that much so hopefully you can do better.

Basicly the main points we need to stress are:
Venue: Dolce Vita - cafe bar lounge
Doors open: 10pm
Requirements: 18 to enter / 21 to drink
DJs: DJ Bijo & DJ bEDO
When: the last thursday of every month
Hookah, $5 cocktails for the ladies (and you can include this if you want) Free soft drinks with a bottle purchase.
and you have to stress that there's no cover.. free entry or however you want to put it.
Oh and please make sure it is in a suitable size for flyers like 4.25 x 3.5 (5.5 x 5.5) (optional: you can include a 0.25 bleed)

Im looking for your inputs. I am in a bit of a rush so I will not be waiting too long maybe about 3-4 days.

Here's some feedback so far. Please do not be offended if you dont like my comments, I am not aiming to offend anyone, these are just honest comments based on what im looking for.

I like the colors and the outlook in general. But im not sure that if the background is white-purple then the text elements should be as well, it is a little hard to distinguish the little DJ icon on the bottom left. I do like the girl image though. Im not saying change the text color but maybe make it stand out a little more from the background. And I would still like to pinpoint the fact that there will be $5 cocktails for the ladies and maybe say something about the style of music.. if u dont have a place to fit the whole thing u can just put "mix" :) . Thanx again for your submit.

Hey. Thanx for submitting your idea. I think this is a little too futuristic/scifi looking for the idea. The party im doing is a euro-dance so the text+background doesnt really match the idea. You're welcome to do modifications and revamp it abit. Once again thanks for the effort and I`ll be looking forward to a revamped design if you wish to submit one.

Thank you for your submittion. I do like the idea but it looks too empty right now.. if you can increase the size of the flyer and maybe replace The Last Thursday ... with the title of the party BG EURO PARTY and put the last thursday further down, that`ll be nice. thank you

I like this one but im not in love with the fonts. the Dolce Vita font can be changed and the ones below.. also you can remove "appearances" and just say "with" for example.. but the flyer in general looks good. also if you could move everythng a fraction higher .. if u want just put the watermark thru the middle but I do want to see how it looks with everything a little up higher. also please include BG EURO PARTY. thanx again.

I would like to thank everyone for their submitions. Also everyone who said to count them in - I am keeping you in mind and will be awaiting for your input.
Please remember that your final result will need to be in a .PSD because I dont want to lose quality if turned into a JPEG and I want to submit it as a .PSD to the printing service. Also please keep in mind that it needs to be at least 300dpi and be able to be resized (made larger) for the sake of an actual club flyer that will be given out to people.

hm.. I hate to tell u this but I think the old version of the text (the glassy effect) was better. Can you try to change the color then.. maybe make the purple part of the background BLUE and the outer glow on the text blue also..just replace the two purples with blue.

looks good.. here's a couple of suggestions though:
1) it looks tilted, idk if thats an effect u wanted to do or if u wanted to make it sort of wrapped .. either way its stuck in the middle somewhere :)
2) You dont need 2 Dolce Vitas lol.. but I do like the bottom one so maybe you can put it on the top
3) Please change the *must be 18 to enter to .. no star, 18 to enter 21 to drink.. you can put a "/" or a "." to separate them its up to u, its just that its something thats important
4) there's some negative space in the middle.. maybe u can put another shaded area and u can add BG EURO PARTY or something like that..and the styles of music ..
.. I do like your idea a lot ..let me know if ur willing to make the changes and upload a revised flyer. Also dont worry about the address just indicate a place for it to be up along with a phone number.

Here's some feedback:

@topamillion: a lot of differents fonts and colors are used and this makes it a little confusing and out of sync. Also Im looking for something more effective and vibrant. thank you for your submittion though.

@Adityacool5: very nice and simple but too simple. compared to the other flyers , yours looks a little off meaning that it doesnt match the idea of the type of event. You're welcome to revise it. Thank you :)

@Riots: Once again a too simple flyer. I have to admit it does communicate the information I want but in terms of layout it needs to be more vibrant and eye catching. Also I dont think you have the right choice of picture with the 2 girls up top.. it doesnt look right to me .. idk. Thank you :)

@MYND: Good choice of colors, however the ballet figures and the placement of text doesnt look good, also maybe u can change the fonts around a bit and make some of them bolder than other. Thank you!

@Ladybugz: the last one could've been done good with some modifications but this one I do like a lot, 1-2 small things in terms of text movement can be done but at this point I think you dont have to change anything until the competition is over which will be in probably another 1-2 days. If you decide to make any changes however make sure you save this one as a backup :)

@Marko: out of the two, the first one is better and I like it. You can go ahead and move around some of the text and edit the fonts.. maybe eliminate some of the white space as well. thank you

@Itaydr: Thank you for your input. The fonts do not fit the theme and the middle can be more populated rather than leaving so much space. thank you!

@Elmasry: Not what Im looking for. More vibrant colors, different image and more information .. sorry for the harsh criticism but compared to others, your flyer needs some work. Thank you for the input though I do appreciate it.

@Nightvision: Looks nice I like the idea the only thing is that maybe the girl on the right doesnt look all that well with the hair over her face.. but thats not a big deal.. thank you for the input :)
