I just can't believe it. I am top ranked for every single keyword I was targeting. Even some keywords that I would never even think of targeting are top ranked, I just noticed a #2 spot for a word with 121,255,317 results!!
Yeah, so I will be getting lots of untageted traffic. Who cares!! I have an entrance popunder, an intersitial, and a couple of banners, so every visitor I get makes me extra $$
Google made my site vanish. All my keywords are gone, I have received 0 visitors from Google for the last few days. The strange thing is that at Google's Directory I am #1 in my category.
This has got to be the worst update I have ever seen. But since my rankings at MSN rock, and the ones at Yahoo are terrific also, I can just say:
Screw you, Google! I don't need you!
muahahahahahaa :D :D :D

Dejaone, where are you seeing this rollback? On the datacenters, or on a normal google search? Because I am doing a search and everything seems exactly the same
I'd have to agree. MSN has been great for me thus far. I have seen about a 60% increase in revenues, all of which seems to be the result of increased traffic coming from MSN.

MSN is marching to the beat of it's own drum ... that's for sure!

fryman. I saw some of my keywords were back on 40% of datacenters for a while (4 PM - 6:30 PM. I'm in Colorado). Based on feedback, it wasn't a rollback. it just happended for some of keywords. But anyhow, some of my keywords are back on top 10. Som of keywords are gone. The updating is still going on, may need a few more days to settle down.

Well, I suppose I will chime in. Thank god for MSN and Yahoo. I'm with you Fryman. Bad enough I've had to tolerate 8 months of Sandbox with Google. Now G appears to have taken the clamps off of some site and thrown mine from 140 for its primary Keyword phrase to out of the top 1000.
I have been sitting here for the last 3 hours trying to figure this out and the more I think about it, the more pissed I get....then on top of this chit, I keep thinking about the e-mail I got earlier this last week from G adsense telling me the reason my adsense has been cut in half is due to conversions with adsense clicks.
I started looking at who was showing up...I got a freakin localized carpet cleaner site showing up using a mortgage term....hmmmmm for new home buyers...ummmmm Hello.....you're not gonna get someone to clean your freakin carpet when they haven't even purchase a freakin house yet.... The sites I have seen coming in are a joke from get rick quick investment scammers wanting you to buy a book to flower store to a freakin carpet cleaner..... so I started banning them which mean now I gotta baby sit what G is delivering. And G has the nerve to bitch cause people aren't "Buying" the services being misrepresented in the freakin advertisement titles. Doh!
All this on record freakin traffic courtesy of top rankings in MSN and Yahoo and G has the nerve to sandbox this site, cut it adsense to the low teir advertisers and now kick it out of even the top 1000.....jlkjsdfjsdflkjdsflkjfsdlslfkdklfsdjsjdflfj ...... I am pissed off now...sigh
I really do need to quit thinking about it...lol
Cheers

Lmao!!!

That is exactly my problem. I have checked all the top 20 sites for my keyword, and I just can't understand why all that unrelated crap is there.
It is like if you checked the keyword "stereos", and you see a site in #15 that is a site selling books, and one of the books listed on that page is called "Two bright stereos".
Meanwhile, my site, that IS indeed related to stereos, is sent to #1,865,087
I still subscribe to the school of thought that says that Google's algo works by letting all the Sh*t float to the top. Then they come in and skim the Sh*t off. Give it time :-)

No rollback here. Most of my kw's are down around 80-100 now. I think it's a penalty filter myself.

Well, it looks like MSN is becoming just a bit of a roller coaster as well. In the past month I went from #1 on a major keyword, then slowley went down to #9 and stayed there for a while. When the commercials started I was still on the first page so my traffic picked up a lot. This morning I found I was in the middle of page 2. Not bad, but traffic is down a bit. I'm pretty sure I can get most, if not all of that space back, in fact I think I can do better then #9. Of course on G I'm still nowhere to be found.

I have noticed that SERPS at MSN change every single day, atleast for my keywords.
A new cache of my site also shows up every day.

MSN changes the serps daily. Every adjustment you make comes into play. People at the top keep adjusting and sites keep growing. This results in a good index since a spammer will only get 1 day's worth of traffic before being dropped, unlike Google's approach which is to sandbox everyone for months on end to discourage spam. MSN has figured a daily adjustment will result in the same thing and not penalise worthy sites.

I noticed something along those lines, but I have to say I was in teh #9 spot for about a week, and the guy that's at #1 for that keyword has been there ever since I lost #1 back when it was still beta. I have noticed in the past few hours though, that I'm on the first page for more keywords than before, so I'm not complaining! I wonder where it will be tomorrow? I added quite a bit of content today, and made some other changes as well.

Quick question on traffic. How much traffic such as a keyword of "Internet Marketing" would make off of MSN. I am optimizing for MSN at this moment but had not heard any traffic reports for MSN. If someone could spill some info I would really like that.
And BTW Fryman great job at gaining more traffic.

I used to think that optimizing for MSN and Yahoo was a waste of time... boy, was I wrong. You focus all your effor on Googler, and that stupid engine just decides one day to wipe out your site... and not only for one keyword, for every single combination you can think of.
It is just incredible, my logs show now a total cero traffic comming from Google, when 2 weeks ago I had 30 well targeted keywords in the top-10.
At least, as 12FreeForums says, MSN apreciates your effort on keeping your site with fresh content. Incredible, but today I have a #1 spot for a keyword with 120,943,940 results. Doesn't bring much traffic, but wow, I sure do impress my friends when I show them that :D
