I keep reading that organic growth is the way to go and that buying backlinks is not a great idea.

I've seen a few sites that sell pr7 backlinks and I was wondering if anyone has had any sucess with links that have been purchased?

I feel it delayed my sandbox release. I have other sites where it did not work and simple article writing did plus sig links and directories.

I bought a few PR 5 and PR6 links from a coupe people here on DP in the buy/sell thread and pointed them at a domain to see what would happen. I'll keep you posted. 24 Hours later and not in the Google index yet.

It depends on the links you buy. Make them look natural and relevant and you will be fine.

I can see how you have control over relevant links, but how would you make a link look "natural"

natural? I guess you can find those article site and ask them to embed your link inside. I think it looks natural that way.
>>Recently, i've a guy who like to embed his adsense link in my adsense article, I think this is pretty natural. Don't you think?

Simply, don't put in anchor text: Search Engine Optimization keyword, use something: another interesting site dealing with search engines and website optimization - click here!

This one seems like an ad or at last not so KEYWROD focused link but still having keyword in it;

Links in footers and site-site links can be detected very easy :)

google really wants "naturals links" not dublicated links (same site-wide link style all over the internet)

try to have your links in the middle of the page, like not on the last 10% of html page code :) make it be somewhere 30%-70%

If you have a new site and want it indexed, then a purchased link will send the spiders your way. If you are talking about ranking, then again it depends on the search engine.

i always buy link for my new site. However, i only buy link that embedded in content(link in article or blog post)

For a new site that has only PR0, it is not easy to do link exchange. And directory/article submission is not natural way to build link either. buying link is the faster way to get PR IMHO

those links you buy can't be natural at all.

Buying links works you just need to watch out who you buy from, as long as you stay away from ebay sold links you'll be fine.
