Just checking out the Alexa stats and there's a huge dip in stats at:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=www.yahoo.com

Is this related to the new Yahoo homepage or perhaps the site went offline?

Not sure... I would imagine that it's an error in the records because thats a big drop! but it is only a brief drop.

How can Alexa track the visitors of another person's site?

They keep track of where users that have the alexa toolbar installed surf to and use averages to approximate the results.

So you think is a problem with Alexa, not with Yahoo? Haven't seen this dip on other sites...

That big of a drop has to be from Alexa tracking. If something like that really happened there would be news all over the place about it.

I think the problem with alexa. Since they track visitors just using there toolbar.
