I've uploaded a datafeed but the status still shows as 'Awaiting first upload'. Is this usual?

They need a few hours to proceed your feed. It will take some time before the first approval.

I'm not expecting it to be approved so quickly, I thought it should be status of 'waiting approval' or similar. 'Awaiting first upload' gives me the impresion that the system thinks I havn't uploaded a file yet.

I'm going through the same process (just set up a Froogle account and am trying to get my first feed through the proper hoops). Yes, I agree, the status messages on Froogle can be vague and confusing.

Even after I uploaded it, my feed was on "Awaiting first upload" for about 5 days. Then yesterday it switched to "Feed pending content approval", where I guess it'll hang out for perhaps a week and then maybe go live if everything's clean. Others have told me their experiences were similar.

So I suspect you have nothing to worry about at this point. In getting through to that first approval and live status, patience and a high tolerance for ambiguity seem to do the trick.

Mine has just changed to "Feed pending content approval", so I guess it was quite quick compared to others.

Christ, I just came here to find that this is normal after about 2 hours of refreshing to try to get the damned status to change. I saw SUCCESS and LIVE and thought oh, I'm good to go. . .

oh well. . .

I guess it is to be expected since it has been a week since I first re-activated my account to where I could actually sign in the merchant center. I guess that is new becuase I didn't have to do it last year.

Well at least your FTP password works!

Well at least your FTP password works!

I know, that was a feat in itself. I just kept resetting it in the merchant center and I think I forced it through due to the number of signon attempts...

Edited:
Yippeeee! Just checked and my products made it up already and it's only been a couple hours...who knew?
