Yep...a newbie here. I've scoured the forum trying to answer my own question, but no luck. (I'm not saying the answer isn't here...I just couldn't find it.)
I have been writing/submitting articles to ezinearticles and goarticles, and creating reciprocal links for a site for several months, but when I run a link analysis with WEBCEO software it shows that I have no Google links. Entering the site's URL in Google (links:www.mysitehere.com) yields zero links as well. I entered a different, but very popular site into the software and Google just to make sure I was doing it correctly, and many links were found.
The site is a commercial site with a Google page rank of 2, and it has been on-line for four years. I started the SEO process on it in March.
Does it take this long for Google to discover the links? Can I assume that if I make a Google search and find my article(s) which contain a link to my site that it should show up as a link in my queries?
This SEO stuff isn't as easy as it looks...but I'm learning.
