I want to register a couple of websites so I need a serious registrar.
I need:
- pretty cheap prices
- the security that the registrar won't go bankrupt and I will lose my domains
- security with paypal transfers
- good client support

I like name.com too, is it reliable and good? I like it's terms, it's design, and the facilities it offers, but i was worried because they might be too good to be true :D
So I can't go wrong with name.com?

I use
godaddy
directnic
namecheap
networksolutions
and a few others. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.

yeah it might better if you own lot of domains like up to hundred,
but for me Godaddy is quite enough.

What is the best, most trusted and safest registrar?
Moniker.com is the most trusted in the domaining community. I also like Name.com as they're cheap & reputable as well.

I have to say Namecheap.com. I have all my domains there and they are easy to deal with, whois protection is free for the first year, they are easy to use with paypal, they are easy to transfer a domain name, and it is easy to mangae your account.
Here is what you need to look for when registering a domain name (http://seo08.com/2008/05/30/registering-a-domain-name/).

The best, most trusted and safest registrar? Seriously, your very own.
But since none of us can afford it, next best thing is to take chances with a
registrar. Personally, NameCheap and Moniker.

You can't find all the features you said in one registrar
The cheapest and average to many fields is name.com but the safest and best option for high valued names in Moniker for me
