Title of yahoo directory listing on search engine result!?!?

I got expired domain which was listed in yahoo directory.

and i got #1 spot for major keyword.

but the problem is that the search engine result shows the title as it is listed on yahoo directory which is very poorly written title. ( name of person )

Did anyone have any problems like this?

how to resolve or change the title on search engine result?

I contacted yahoo for correction, and they don't listen to me.

Contact yahoo and tell them that you want to change your website listing inside their directory.

Also Yahoo uses its directory listing (Title, description, link you gave to them when submitting inside their directory) for some SERPS when your original website is missing enough informations in order to rank well without the yahoo dir listing.

We had the same problem with a client site. As yet there's been no resolution 2 months after contacting Yahoo.

It seems that with every new update of Yahoo's home page, directory is being pushed lower and lower. To be honest, I wouldn't even bother with it any more.

This is happening with one of my sites. Used to rank well, then Yahoo switched to listing it by its directory title only and stopped updating its cache regularly, then it fell pretty much out of the rankings. Can't figure it out.

I am ranked #1-3 for some really great keywords but get no clicks from Yahoo. It has to be because of the crappy title that they gave me in the Yahoo Directory that is used for the SERPs...I am definitely not going to renew it. Even if I fall out of Yahoo rankings for cancelling the listing it won't matter because I get no clicks anyway.

The directory is a waste of time and money. We now actively advise clients not to get listed there as there is little benefit and a massive cost that could be better spent elsewhere.

$300 is v expensive for something that works against you, eh?

yes tile will matter, because it they keyword for which backlink is count.i think u can email yahoo and change title.but even then yahoo directory listing is good
