$40 Web 2.0 logo contest

Looking for a clean, corporate looking logo for my website. Currently under way with a total redesign. The website name is AnnuityIQ it is a variable annuity comparison website, A variable annuity is a mutual fund type of investment.

Logo needs the name 'Annuity IQ'
slogan: The ultimate variable annuity comparison website.
size 250 X 71
red, green,blue color choices, I'm not set on my redesign colors yet (sorry)

Don't be afraid to do something daring with this one. Looking for something highly creative, totally unique here. Must be something unlike anything existing, this will be trademarked.

Winner receives $40 and a footer link to their design site, keyworded relevant for you.
Contest ends May 22, 10pm EST will be called early if we find one that blows us away, we also reserve the right to not pick a winner if we are unable to find what we're looking for.

This is not a bad design and has good word play. I am looking for something that stands out a little more and has a graphic as well. Good work, but a little more pop would be nice.

I am definitely looking for something with a logo on it. A good example would be morningstar dot com. The name does not have to be the logo, the logo could be anything. I would prefer the name to not be as animated. Thank you for the effort.

I like the second one that you posted, the logo is nice. I am not sure about the font used on the name as it is high tech. My target market is 50+ years of age. Definitely a good entry, but if you can spice it up a bit that would be great.



Very nice design, I like it a lot, it is unique. Any chance you can try to make the name pop more, same design but perhaps a thicker, width for the words?
Also, if you could include a graphic logo that would be great.

Very unique, easily trade marked.. It gives you the feeling that you are an old company that is to be trusted.

Emzdesign- (sorry I missed yours last time)
I like the look of the slogan on top of the name, not a fan of the Y although very creative. I think you can keep working with this to give it more pop and more graphic element to it.

I love that you went bold and thinking outside the box with this on. Sadly, I'm not a fan of the font for AnnuityIQ and logo needs to have more relevance although its very cool. I do love the font for the slogan and coloring. Keeping working on it please.

Liked the font on the last one but still not enough pop and not an orange fan. Is this graphic custom or did you get it from somewhere? Need to remember this will be trademarked. Still too plain looking of a graphic part of the logo. Nice work, keep trying please

The "Annuity" font is pretty good, not liking the color mix or the font for the slogan. I like the attempt to be creative with the "Q" but not exactly what I'm looking for.

Definitely unique but alittle too feminie font with the 'A' IMHO. Colors not bad and I need the slogan in there somewhere with a graphic.

To close to the morningstar logo, I never meant for any of you to copy them, just tried to give you an idea of what my site information is about. Colors are too basic along with the graphic. Try to push your limits with creativity with this one.


I'm appreciating the effort your all putting in to this I think we're really getting closer and more creative. Think business,profession, cutting edge graphic, Web 2.0 but not high-tech (how's the description LOL) I really look forward to seeing some new ideas out of you all. I'll try to keep up with the feedback as best as possible.

I know its hard when I don't really know exactly what I want and I apologize for that but I know we can get there. I forgot to post that I will need a psd when the winner is called in this.

I like the coloring on it and font but graphic needs more pop and you need to include the slogan in there too. Nice try though. Keep workng at it.

Nice try, I like that you tried to make the graphic mean 'IQ" (or atleast that's how I see it) I think you don't need to use all those colors and you do need to include the slogan in there somehow. Try going alittle more streamline and powerful with the graphic part of it. Nice work!

Nice start here. I like the basic look to it but the graphic needs to have more pop, I like the graphic on the side best of the ones you've done. As for the red, its alittle too pink, I' go with a dark more bold red. Nice job!

Nice try, I;m not liking the graphic part of it or the font, I want a less chunky look to this one. I'd love to see more from you though!

Wow, you've been busy. I like the 2nd one the best, but not an orange fan, my only other worry is having the graphic on top like that will really shrink the logo. I love how you've written 'AnnuityIQ' Like that. Keep going with it please.

Here's my current top three of those submitted as of now.

graphicsunplug -
Right now yours seems to be right on with what I want. Is there anyway you can kind of mix the last red one and the new green version. I like the swoosh inbetween Annuity IQ like you have it on the red, and the red color really pops to me, but if you can change the swoosh and IQ to a lighter grey, but not too light on the gradient on the top of the swoosh that it washes out too much, then add the slogan under AnnuityIQ like you have on the green one with reflection I think you may have it!

AnG3L-
I like what you did with the orange version this time how you wrote Annuity and small IQ, but I am not a fan of the orange or the graphic on top will make it too big on the height to keep the detail of the words

emzdesign- I really like what you had going here but the arrow isn't graphic enough, or really relevant to the site and it ended up looking to plain for me now, it just doesn't have the pop I was hoping for.

I truly want to thank everyone for the entries right now and all the hardwork you guys have put in. I will probably call this after I get those revisions so if anyone has something that will blow me away that their working on I hope to see them soon.
