Check Colours Of Users Display

Any way I can check the colours of a users display

I.e like js can check what browser someone is using I would like to get info on if they are using 8,16,32 bit colour etc.

Found it at last. Didn't think it was possible when Google had no sign of anything that would do this.

I was making all sorts of 'javascript colour check' searches on Google, then realised all you Americans can't spell colour.

Shouldn't that be screen.colourDepth?

Remember, it is the English language.
