How do you make catagory links which display more links when the mouse is placed on i

I am not sure what they are called, but I am refering to a "hotspot" on a navigation bar that will display a set of links when the mouse is placed over it.

So if the hotspot is labeled "tents", when the mouse is placed over it, it would open a little box with 20 or so links to tent pages.

How do you do this.


Also, will Google and other search engines count the links inside of these "boxes" as static links?
