seriously, IMO, I think MS should rather spend 44b $$ revamping their search engine solution.

Good, you get an instant search engine which works fantastically and you get to use it ASAP

If ms buy yahoo, then definitely, there will be a problem for google.

Because yahoo still have the most traffic in the market. If MS buy yahoo then MS would have all the traffic of Yahoo and can give good competition to Google. But.............

To Beat google is not kid game. It is not necessary that MS can beat google with Yahoo.

the two combined won't be much of a competition for goole unless they do something with their search engines and create something to compete with adsense/adwords.

I think anything can change in this world. More you work ,more you win. That is the same case with microsoft. I dont think for just buying yahoo , microsoft can win google.
