Finding number of Goog results for a search w PHP

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for how I could code a script that will check the number of google results for various search terms. For example, if I entered into an input field on my site "web directory" i would want the script to tell me how many Goog results there are for "web directory"

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Never mind, it looks like I found something to get me started.
