i want to cut the character from an image and put it over another image,the problem is when i paste it over the second image its color changes.

Make sure the blend mode of the cut image is set to normal

Use the same blend mode from the cut layer to your new paste layer to have the same color modes.

Not sure if this would affect it, but are both images in the same format? Like, are both RGB?

ok check ur pm i sent u the psd and i fixed it : The problem is ur background image mode is set to index color and the image u want to paste is RGB Mode .Just change the background color Mode to RGB by going to Image >Mode>RGB in Photoshop and then import the cut image on to it.Its worked great and i sent u the psd to ur pm.All the best.
