I had done some comment posting in past and found it works only if you stick up with niche specific blogs. But still i think, if we put efforts on creating a quality content people will link naturally.

it works but you need to be very careful if you are doing so. anyone can commnet on the blogs/articles so while you have a health site for example and you are commenting on a health related articles, there will be lot of others owning viagra or male enhancement sites commenting on that article as well. not to mention casino and adult sites will find the blogs sooner or later and will comment also. therefore, your comment or baclink might end up being on a potential spam blog or spam comment page

Yes, nofollow comments really won't do anything for your search engine ranking, but if you are able to find dofollow blogs, then the comments on those blogs will help you out in your search engine rankings.

Although finding dofollow blogs to comment on is a good link building strategy, diversifying your strategies is the key. Don't just rely on one method.

Do Follow blog commenting can help your rankings. Just make sure you will just comment on a related, relevant and do follow blogs. Make use of your primary keyword as your anchor. You can still comment even if it has a no follow attribute. This can still give your site tons of traffic

If you are able to find .edu blogs which are dofollow and high PR, then definitely your site is going to get benefit in terms of SERP as well as page rank. But its very difficult to find .edu blog posts which are dofollow.
I am collecting a list of .edu dofollow blogs, once i make a good list; will post.
Thanks much...

I am looking for a service that will post on blogs such as this for example:
www.nrei.info (that are allowing comments obviously, this one I don't think is)

That consists of a few QUALITY WORTHY sentences (paragraph or whatever)
I am looking for this for SEO purposes.
Anyone know of anything decent?

Sites like this scare me:
http://www.submissionlive.com/products.php?category_id=2

1000 comments for so cheap, I think they are just ran through some software. I am looking for far better quality.

1/2 truths and mis-informaiton. This is why people hover around $1/day income here at dp.

Do follow & don't follow count for SERPs, just not PR which most here are really chasing

edu sites are just another tld and help no more than .info

PR is useless for SERPs

Let your links get picked up by splogs, it won't hurt at all.

Commenting is a GREAT way to get indexed. Just make sure you mix up your anchor text and post comments that will stick around for years. That's where the real value in comment posting will come in to play
