TelevisionShows
May 1st 2008, 4:22 am
Im restricted from making the leap in income to $10 000 a month, by advertisers not approving me.

I run adwords. High volume. Have high traffic organic.

Yet some advertisers are ignoring me and its annoying.

Anything i can do, i have mailed them numerous times.

Send them gift baskets, go for flowers and wine.

If this doesn't work, blackmail.

Where do you live and where are your sites hosted?/

They may feel you are not targeting their target market...

If your site can send them good converting traffic then they will be really foolish to not advertise on it.

Consider making a real quality website you can show them, then resort to PPC

At a certain point its no longer about just clicking the apply button in CJ...you may need to use some business schmoozing skills and contact the company independantly. Who knows, they may even have their own in-house program that saves them money and gives you a bigger cut.

Are you being auto-declined, or are these manual declines? Are all of the websites listed in your profile working? Do you list actual sites/landing pages, rather than just Google.com and/or Yahoo.com?

Im a fair freak at PPC.

So i can't see why not.

I have 5 quality websites. They make sales naturally. A majority is from landing pages with PPC.

But i can't see why they wouldn't accept me.

On one service, i have had success promoting another service of the same field. And i feel i could make another $200 a day from it. Im that confident about my PPC.

Its just frustrating.

I have sent them all mail, waiting for a response.

Hahaha your insane here's the answer to your problem..

Nah im having success with blogspot domains. Not that or any other ebay product though. So im gonna stay with it, just promoting cj products. Working well champ.

Also to make your $1000 a day how much are you investing? $500?

Currently im investing $30 for around $210 a day.

So your making all this money but your too cheap to get off blogspot domains? This makes no sense at all - you're hurting yourself.

Businesses don't need a reason to deny your application. If they don't want you as a business partner - it's not because they are arrogant - it's because your sites don't fit their criteria.

BEFORE you apply for a merchant, send an email to the program manager - explain to them what you want to do.

There are a lot of inattentive 9-5r's that are in charge of their companies affiliate programs - people that have no idea what it's really all about.

Try to call them or send again an email (not free email but with your domain name) and tell them that you are ready to get a call from them and let them know your phone number. It will sound more professional.

If you'd like to PM me with more of your site info, I can tell you most likely why advertisers are declining you. I work with a number of CJ advertisers, and we can have very strict acceptance criteria for some programs based on the advertiser's policies and goals.

I wonder how many publishers are going to do what LendingTree.com did and shutoff its campaign entirely except to a select group. If flowers and wine worked, I'd do it.

Okay everyone. This week i took big measures. Emails/all other professional methods.

3 advertisers who previously declined, accepted me.

No need to say my profits are up by about $100 a day this week, which is really cool.

I have registered a few of my own domain names, aswell though.

All is good.

Don't freak out with these arrogant advertisers! If you have the budget and skill sets, many other merchants are happy to work with you. CJ is not the only place to do affiliate marketing, there are markethealth.com, LinkShare, Shareasale, Clickbank... and many other independent/in house affiliate programs.

The sky's the limits. It's their loss to ignore you, not yours :)

Do you think its easiest to make a living with Clickbank or CJ using CPC?

I just want to keep expanding. Until i own a country. And then i run my quest for global domination. Nah jj.

But what would be easiest to make most money through adwords?

Both. Clickbanks high commission is nice, and cj's "reliabliablity" is both good things to look for. It's a sin to stop at only one affiliate network. A Sin!

Im registered with clickbank but don't sell with them.

There all ebooks, which look scammy.

Do people actually pay for them?

Anyone here making big money on clickbank, if you are i might give it a shot then.

Not all ebooks in Cb are scammy, there are decent ebooks in niche like relationship, language etc.

Besides, CB also sells software. I have good success promoting those software.

I don't mean to be intrusive. But compared to CJ, are you earning a lot through Clickbank?

And how often are there stats updated. Because i like how CJ list immediate leads and sales.

Cheers mate

Should try copeac, smaller number of offers, but instant reporting unlik CJ which has lag time between there reporting and the AM at copeac are great. For example, asked my AM for the top 500 converting ringtone keywords, bam 30 minutes later I got the list.

Rejection is based on the description of your site or the categories of your site. The parameter that CJ is laying out for applicants is not helping us. As suggested by HaltingPoint, write to the company directly and show them your Google stats. For me, I just told one company that my site has PR3 and I got an approval.

cylai
May 9th 2008, 6:58 pm
HaltingPoint is right. However I try contacting companies with no success.
It's funny, as there are few merchants who have affiliate program with CJ and some other networks. I applied thru CJ, failed. When I applied to other networks, they approved me. hmm .....

after all these experiences I usually choose to work with affiliate programs with responsive managers, like Copeac, Azoogle, or those you can find from ABestWeb forum.

Most affiliate programs on CJ are not managed by CJ - most affiliate managers either work for the advertiser or for a third-party advertising agency that manages the program for the advertiser.

Remember, at the end of the day, there's a human being running the affiliate program program (well, unless its eBay in which case there's nothing but idiots running it) at the company. If you write them a quick email or give a quick call and can concisely communicate that A. you have a proven track record of driving conversions (hopefully within their niche) and B. you do it through ethical means that follows their terms, then its a no-brainer, money-making win-win offer for both parties and they should be quick to accept you.

HaltingPoint: I have done everything you suggest to no avail (via email). One day I may pick up the phone and give them a call.

I would definitely try picking up the phone. And if you get the general operator, try to speak to someone who runs the affiliate program, and if not that, ask for someone in marketing who can direct you to the person who runs the affiliate program.

Any chance you can share the link to your site here? I'm curios to see what could be stopping it from being accepted.
