Hi Dpers,
I would like to ask you guys if you think that it is easy being an Ezine Platinum Expert Author?
I am a platinum author. From my experience, it seems that Ezine would somehow find fault with my initial 10 articles to halt my status as a platinum author upgrade.
I didn't undergo any extra English-training classes to get my Platinum status. I am saying this because I submitted 25 articles after the initial 10 submission and they were all magically approved without any mistakes.
Do you guys have any similar experiences? Feel free to share.
Thanks!

Unfortunately having any particular author status in ezine isn't really that important I don't think. While your articles may all be good quality, there are many people out there writing what are frankly sub-standard articles and having them easily published in the article directory sites. Just take a look through the sites and you'll see what I mean. Some of these people are platinum authors (or the equivalent on other sites) and for them it's all about quantity, not quality.
I haven't had any problems getting ezine articles accepted although I've not tried to get to any particular status. If ezine has rejected some of your articles, you could view it as a good thing, an opportunity to improve them and maybe get you more uptake from webmasters looking for content.
I suppose the answer to your question is yes, it's probably quite easy to get platinum status - the evidence exists in the low quality articles by many platinum authors. Don't let it undermine you though - keep going and strive for quality.

I have been a platinum author for awhile. I started using article marketing in the 'old' days before Article Announcer came out. I don't know about ease of getting the rank, I have just been writing a lot, have never had one refused. But the quality of my articles is good as I am branding myself an expert and have to stand by my written word.
My only regret is not using a pen name for some aborted niche marketing ideas...I mean why did a clinical therapist write an article about prom dresses? lol.
One thing you may want to consider is using the graphics and links Ezine provides on your website to link to your bio page. I use my bio page to promote my free giveaway list building report.
It builds credibility and name recognition in your niche. I also use articles to boost my Squidoo lens links which lead to my main site.
Think creatively and outside the box of just writing an article and submitting it.

Could anybody please throw some light as why one should choose ezine? Once I submitted an article there and it was rejected in no time. But I find articles those are of far poor quality - in terms of grammar and framing a sentence.
What is the use of becoming a ezine article writer?
Your replies will be much appreciated.

Ezine is nice... it by far has given way more pageviews and clicks than any other I use. However, they do have their quirks. They published my latest article, then right after that, took it off for broken links. I have checked the links several times, and they work! Still waiting for a response to my email about that.

I don't think it's a challenge to become a Platinum ezine author. I've had some that had to be edited because a link to something free was too high on the page but other than that, I've not had any trouble.
But vgal, they are a large and I'm sure your article got snatched by some technology crawling links and not plucked out of millions by a human editor. Obviously, you are the victim of a technological mishap.

I'd have to agree with WebGal - it's not too challenging to reach Platinum ezine author.
Several of my articles include in-text links to my website along with author bylines.
I tend to write my articles in such a way to include in-text links, within the body of the article, that link specifically back to my site to garner additional traffic.

Ezine upgraded my account, I don't know if it's platinum? Not sure how they increase it. It didn't require nothing more than submitting articles for them to upgrade me.
I agree with peejaydee, I doubt account status really matters. I think as time rolls on, the PR will update on your article pages, and that will help.

I've submitted 5 articles, only 1 of them had a problem which was easily fixable. The articles weren't too amazing either imo, so It shouldn't be too hard.

The only time I had an article rejected was an opinion piece that had nothing really to do with marketing or website promotion. I just felt like writing an article. Apparently it was slanderous.
