I used to love yahoo mail, but lately, their spam filters just plain suck.
Is it really that difficult for them to filter the word penis????
I get hundreds of penis enhancement spam DAILY, and every time I mark them as spam. You would think after a few thousand of them marked as spam, they would start to get filtered out of my inbox, but NO.
Yahoo, if you are trolling these forums, please, please, please spend a little effort and money on your mail filters. They just don't work. They used to. Now they don't.
At minimum, filter the word 'penis'
is it that hard? (pun not intended :p )

Yahoo spam filter is probably one of the hardest to get around that's out there. Those people that are hitting your inbox are doing it because they have figured out a way into your yahoo and everyone else's so they are hammering away at them and probably at a very hefty price.

It used to be that yahoo was great at filtering these out, then the spammers would find a way to bypass them and I would get a huge burst of spam, then yahoo would figure it out and stop them, but over the last 4 or 5 months, I just don't see yahoo stopping them anymore. I can understand that the spammers are constantly looking for new ways past them, but now it just seems to me that yahoo just gave up.

Well I'm not going to sit here and run my mouth to much, but for every patch yahoo does now, emailers have three other ways ready to deploy...

I don't get any spam on my yahoo mail. Maybe because i give my email to friends only and never put it on sites.

no, I agree, I'm sure the emailers are tenacious in their ways, I'm just saying I don't see as much success from yahoo as I used to. Don't get me wrong, I really love Yahoo mail (the classic GUI at least) and I won't be switching anytime soon. I have hundereds of domains I could use for private email, and I do. I just wish I got less spam, as does everyone.

For me Gmail is the best, but Yahoo has certain things I really need.

One thing it has was some of my old records still list my yahoo account, other than that I am trying not to use Yahoo anymore. Gmail is the future.

Due to spam, I stopped using Yahoo Mail. I prefer Gmail. It is best and we can use filter and it works.
