i can see al changes, i changed my hosts file
i did some testing in the past... i'm pretty sure, google is concentrating for penalizing directories. Google focusses on directory scripts like phpld and others...
My site went from pr4 to pr3, lost my pagerank (again) for inner pages.
I don't even have a submit page, al my content are unique articles from 700 to 2000 words (320 peaces of it)...

edit : 209.85.139.104 toolbarqueries.google.com

yep the update happened! most of my sites got a PR up! so it's good till now:D
congrats to aviva for a PR4:)
how to check updated PR??
Open, mycomputer - C: - windows - system32 - drivers - etc
Right click on your hosts file and go to properties and remove the "read only" if its already writable then good!
then open the file in notepad, and at the very end of the file, add this!!
127.0.0.1 localhost
209.85.139.104 toolbarqueries.google.com
after that save the file, and open websites in browser and check updated PR!!
cheers!

Great news.

Unfortunately all you bastards broke my favourite tool late last night - I told everyone of the magic of livepr.ezer.com and you bitches broke it :(
Anyway, my directories didn't fair too bad.
Bid directory - PR2 > PR6
Niche directory - PR6 > PR4 (has been pretty much been down for the last 3/4 weeks due to a crossover to phplynx;))
General directory - PR3 > PR3
Can't complain too much...though, that PR6..WTF:D
I guess it's something to do with the fact it's an awesome domain name, linked to by US governmental agencies (no, not the usual shitty .edu blogs) and the likes of AOL News.

Congrats M1, what about your fruity ? dont know the exact url.
I only started linkbuilding for fruity very recently, so it's only PR1. I'll post it up in the forums when its more established.
OFF TOPIC My SeoContest-2008.com turned PR4 :D LOL! I came 40th in the contest, but I'm suprised it went to PR4 so easily. Shocking!
EDIT ---
On Topic - http://www.dirsensei.com/GooglePRDC/pr_lookup.pl is not yet blocked from google for the day:D Enjoy ;)

I've got my toolbar queries set to a datacenter which hasn't yet been updated, and I'm getting PR7 regardless whether it be the old PR value or the new one on a confirmed updated data center?

I have set my toolbar queries to 209.85.139.104.
I have seen in google forums (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=7565547&postcount=284) that this datacenter is showing the updated PR. :)

Hardly suprising that phpLD is PR7.
One method of link building is to release a product that requires linkback. Thats what they did and is one of the reasons for their high rankings :)

I would say to be cautiously optimistic, you can bet some knucklehead will be reporting this thread to Gooogle and demanding the PR's be manually adjusted. Threads like this prove how much Gooogle really is in control of sites.

Not me - ever. Unlike the idiots here that still claim PR is useless. I like my little green bar, actually - it's something of a motivational goal to see it rise, in my opinion. And even if it is just Google releasing some 'entertainment' (although I do know better than this;)), it's very entertaining:D
For the record,
Use 209.85.139.104 toolbarqueries.google.com for your Google Toolbar (Edit the Hosts file - c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/HOSTS) - this is one of the only data centers still online with the updated values - many of the 74.XXX.XX.XX ranges which I announced had updated late last night have not been switched off/queries have been locked out.

The little green bar is the basics for google's who algorithm. PageRank is one of the primary ways google measures the importance of a site.(betwen others).
Directories with more green will naturally make more money, but hopefully it will be becuase they have deserve it, not tried to find some loophole in the system.
