What can php do for me?

ok,so i have a small arcade website,and i'm tinking of learning and adding php to it,what are the basic php "components" that my site or any site should have?

There is a PHP arcade script that can do a lot for your website and comes with all what you need when it comes to scripting but allowing you customize its template and add your own games at your convenience.

Trusted Writer,thanks for your answer, but i want to learn how to code from scratch,i was looking for someone who can give me a basic introduction to this language,i wanted to know what are the basic php components of any website,not just arcades.
