Hello everyone

Are singular forms or plural forms better for domain names. By better I mean which form normally do people search for in search engines, popularity, search engine rankings, value etc.

For example if my site is about mobile phones what should be my site title?

mobilephoneworld.com
mobilephonesworld.com

freebieworld.com
freebiesworld.com

planetkeyboard.com
planetkeyboards.com

Please help me decide! And if you are going to say just get both, which should I use as main and which to redirect?

Thanks

Type it in search engine and whichever has more result then take it :)

Mostly I prefer plural and also try to find search frequency using wordtracker etc, you can find plural having high search result, but it completely depend on words.

Most of the time, it’s look brandable when last word in plural, like planetkeyboards.com looking better than planetkeyboard.com

mobilephoneworld.com(main)
mobilephonesworld.com(redirect)

freebieworld.com(main)
freebiesworld.com(redirect)

Try searching these keywords in Google.

ramp
ramps

When you search plural, google also lists ramp and ramps results(as highlighted bold). but when you search singular, it lists only ramp. What matters?

I also agree with you, but like all domains...it depends.

Instead of selecting singular, it is always better to choose plural because singular keyword will be covered by plurals.

Thanks for all the advice, but sometimes plural might sound a little awkward... like freebiesworld?!
