On a regular basis I need a copywriter and instead of searching a new partner for each project, I prefer to work with people I know.
So, I'm still searching for this talented man/woman who can help me with my future projects.

Who is the best copywriter you know?

First you need to clarify what you mean by "copywriter." Do you mean a real copywriter - someone writing sales and marketing copy for example. Or do you just mean a content writer to write articles? Unfortunately, while they're not exactly interchangeable, many here mistakenly assume that they are.

If you're looking for marketing copy, I nearly always recommend Anne Moss (Webgal) or Jason Martin (Marketjunction).

If you're talking about content, that would depend entirely on the subject matter. Specialists are best, but we can't suggest them without knowing what you're looking for.

sirKello- There are many different kinds of copywriters. Sales letter writers are copywriters but called "direct response copywriters". They write those long, scrolling one page websites that start with "Dear so and so" and end with a pay button. This style site depends more on a good emailing list, ppc advertising and affiliates. SEO rank is usually weaker with this style because there is only one page and achieving the kind of keyword density you need to rank for several DIFFERENT keywords is difficult. There are many reasons to choose this style approach. Sales letter writers offer a lot of marketing help in regards to how you move product.

There are copywriters who write menu-driven sites. I do more of those. Each page is planned and written in such a way to engage a target market and offer them what they are looking for. This type of site is better suited for helping you get indexed with different keywords on Google in the organic listings. Each page title would have the subject for that page which is was works for search engines. Navigation is important as visitors like to find the things they need easily.

Which one is best? It depends on the product and target market because both work. Below is a link to my blog where I have outlined the different kinds of writers as it can be confusing.

I don't do a lot of "copywriting" anymore (as in marketing and sales copy), other than for established clients I've worked with in the past. My primary specialty is PR writing (press releases, media kit content, etc.), and I also do business content writing. I haven't been accepting much else this year due to schedule constraints.
