Hi Everyone,

Company Name: Ron's Test

I need a logo for a company that sells tests to give to workers to test their knowledge on things like Microsoft Excel, Bookkeeping and Quickbooks. The test will be purchased by employers and administered to employees.

The logo need to be fairly formal. It needs to show knowledge. Some suggestions could be a clipboard with a test on it or a door hanger that says "Testing in Progress". Be creative.

I will pay $35 to the winner and $5 to the second place design.

(IF I FORGET TO PAY THE SECOND PLACE WINNER PLEASE PM ME AND DO NOT POST IT IN A DIFFERENT THREAD. I AM VERY HONEST AND IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS THEN IT WOULD BE A MISTAKE THAT I WOULD BE GLAD TO FIX)

The contest is supposed to run 24 hours. This does not mean the winner will be chosen in 24 hours, it means that I will let my client decide the winner from submissions that were submitted in the first 24 hours.

If my client does not like any of the designs I will still pay the first place winner the full prize.

The first place winner will need to put the winning logo on a website header.

Please no PM'd submissions.

Please no submissions in .png format.

If you have any other questions please do ask.

Some clients are faster than others when it comes to choosing a winning design so please be patient. The final decision could possibly take longer than a week.

Thanks, I like yours. I think that the stuff at the top could be a bit to much and I think that I would like it a bit better if you just used a light bulb.

I think you have a good idea. The font needs to be more formal and the colors could probably be more formal as well. Maybe make the clipboard the color that an actual clipboard is.

Sorry man but I don't think that your designs are really cutting it on this logo. They just don't look professional enough. Thank you for the entries though.

I like your design but I need to remind you that this logo needs to be 'formal'. That means that it needs to look fairly professional, not cool or hip. This is not a personality test, it is a test issued by employers to employees and the employers will want it to look professional.

I am still hoping to see some designs that use the "test in progress" door hanger idea.

The text is too overbearing. It seems like the text is all I notice when I look at it.

I like your design. I think the colors will need to be changed (I am looking for more earthy colors) but your style is probably the best so far.

Just not feeling it with the new ones. A book and a feather pen just don't have much to do with a test that tests Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks and bookkeeping skills.

Thanks for the submission but it is too 'clip arty'. It doesn't really look much like a logo as it does some clipart with a name below it.

Your's is really plain but at least you are trying what I recommended.

Do you know what "formal" means? I like your designs, both of the designs that you have submitted were pretty good but my client requested a "formal" logo. You seem to not know what that means or else you just chose to disregard it=).

seriously, whats wrong with png?, i would understand if you didnt want a transparent png, but a png with a bg color is superior to all other formats

This contest has been paused. I spoke to my client regarding the designs that were submitted and he said taht there are some that he really likes. He is taking time getting the opinions of others on what ones are best before he decides. I think I will have the winner soon.

It's interesting that your client chose that design, because you had made a comment that it didn't go along with Excel testing etc. I liked that feather, pen design and there were a bunch of other good ones too. We have some very talented graphic artists here at DP.

I agree, it was very interesting that they chose that one becasue the style didn't go with what the client originally told me but hey... he's the one paying for it right=) I guess he can chose what he wants.
