I thought this was possible with GoDaddy, but after you click the paypal button it takes you to a page where you have to enter your credit card details?? What can i do?

you can have a verified paypal account with cc info, so you dont have to prove your identity to them..

I'm moving my domains from GoDaddy purely because they can't get the sh*t together on this and it's been a very long time.
I use http://domainsite.com/ and their paypal go through OK. I've used a few others, some are good, some aren't.

Yes, the very first time setting up your PayPal profile at GoDaddy is very hard because all the site is non-intuitive :/
I have never tried NameCheap because DomainSite and Dynadot are cheaper and acepting PayPal indeed ;)

The problem is that you can't buy a domain using directly PayPal balance, though you may have enough money on it. You are always asked to provide credit card or bank account information. I contacted PayPal on that issue, but they said they couldn't help me as the only fact that I had enough money on my balance didn't allow me to pay with it.
