You don't have to agree with me but I just had an idea:

Well you always see people with 1 post spamming useless stuff in forums other than the BST section.

We already have it so new members can't post right away in the BST section, why don't we make this for the whole forum?

There could be a section for newbies to post and they have to get 50+ posts before posting with the rest of us.

What do you think?

But how to post 50+ posts in only one section called newbies section :rolleyes: On which topic they (newbie) post 50+ posts ????? Think yourself and reply.

DON.

Newbie section ? Not a good idea IMO :)

It will, in essence, be a forum for spamming.

I agree that would be far too restrictive to the new comers. Whats there to post? Introduce yourself and welcoming others 50 times?

Ultimately nothing can prevent a determined scammer from posting and nothing can prevent a victim from being scammed. On the Internet it is caveat emptor, you need to be responsible for your own actions and make your own decisions.

spammer will find a way and misuse and adapt to "endurance" of your suggestion for post count increase
and IMO, say out of 0.00000001% chances DP did give them a seperate category, that'll only make the newbies "a bit reputable" when they get out threshold with larger number of posts.

good suggestion but won't work on DP
