Am I correct in thinking to check if a page is indexed in google, I just put the url of the page into the google search box and if a result comes up then it is indexed, and if no result comes up then it is not indexed.
thanks

You should also check the cached date. That will give you an idea of how fresh the content is and how much Google cares about it.

e.g.
this page: http://www.casinocashjourney.co.uk/links3(dot)htm
it comes up in google when you just put it in the search box, but not when you put "site:" in front of it.
is it indexed?
