Hi,

I do have an bank account added to my paypal account and once I got money someone send to my paypal, then I just withdrawal it and transfer to my added bank account.

I knew if I go buy something that my paypal balance is not enough to pay, paypal will automatic transfer the money from my bank account to pay the purchases.

My question is, if someone get hacked into my paypal account, does it means that person can get all the money from my bank account by buying stuffs online?

Any protection from prevents someone get the money out of my bank account?

Bank account transfers are not instantaneous and you will get an email each time you make a purchase through paypal. So there would be the ability to alert Paypal if something is wrong.

Also Paypal would usually freeze the account if it is log in from a different country or when it feels that the account has been accessed through suspicious means.

The important thing is not to fall victim to any phishing emails, do not give access to your paypal to anyone, do regular scan of your company for key loggers or trojans and use a hard to remember password with your account. It would also be good if you use an email address which is not used with anything apart from Paypal.

If some one access your paypal account he will be able to transfer amount to others.

Don't worry about this stuff because you can cancel transaction anytime you feel that someone has hacked onto your account.

The answer is yes! I've read about this happening to other members of the forum. This is listed as your backup funding source with PayPal. Once thing that I do is that you can turn on and off your backup funding source. If you need access for a specific purchase, you can simply turn on this capability and avoid the account security issues. Alternatively, PayPal Buyers credit is a useful tool for covering purchases that may exceed your PayPal balance. Best of luck to you and take care!
