Dumb question #31 What is the term static link mean

What is the term static link mean I see some add for static inbound links. I have static on my radio but I dont think thats it :D I come to the great resource of DP forum for the answer.Thanks in advance

Static means it's a regular link like: <a href="url">anchor</a> and the search engines can index it..

i use "static" to mean:

non-rotating
always visible to visitors & search engines

there may be more "technical" definitions? :)

dynamic means thing like rotating banners/links where each time u refresh the page a new link is shown.

static means the opposite
